My wife Meg and I have been part of the Tahoe Donner community for over twenty years. This is where we raised our son and where we built our life. We are avid outdoor enthusiasts and passionate about the Truckee community. You’ll often find us hiking with our dog on the local trail systems, chasing nordic PRs on I’m OK Euer OK, working out at Trout Creek, swimming at the Beach Club Marina, and dining at the Lodge. Meg is a local small business owner, a board member of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, and a past president of the Rotary Club of Truckee. Our son, Ethan, graduated from Truckee High and is now in college at the University of Oregon.
Tahoe Donner has given my family so much over the years, and I want to protect its culture and help shape its future. I bring a perspective informed by a career in technology – from entrepreneurship and small business through my current role leading an engineering organization at an enterprise software company. I manage large teams on critical, time-sensitive projects requiring significant collaboration, skills that translate directly to the needs of leading our community.
Living here full-time provides a unique perspective: I see Tahoe Donner not just on weekends and holidays, but in every season, in every condition, every day. I also deeply value the second-home owners who make up so much of our community; you make Tahoe Donner vibrant. My goal is to serve all members — full-time and part-time — with equal dedication.
What I Stand For
Member Value & Experience
You bought into Tahoe Donner for its amenities, its open space, and its sense of community. No member should feel crowded out or priced out of the facilities they own. Every member — whether you are here every day or a few weekends a year — deserves to feel their investment is working for them. I will advocate for a members-first approach, strengthening member value, protecting member priority, and supporting fair member pricing.
Capital Projects & Long Range Planning
The new Downhill Ski Lodge is exactly the kind of successful, member-focused capital investment that defines Tahoe Donner at its best. With Alder Creek Adventure Center enhancements, trail system upgrades, and other projects such as tennis and pickleball improvements in the pipeline, strong capital planning remains essential to ensure that our amenities continue to evolve to meet member needs, while delivering real value for your assessment dollars.
Tahoe Donner is currently developing a new Community Plan to guide its long-range strategic direction. I am prepared to contribute to that process with a data-driven, technology-informed perspective, helping ensure that our community investments reflect member priorities and are backed by sound long-term planning.
Wildfire Safety & Environmental Stewardship
For all homeowners in Tahoe Donner, wildfire safety is personal. Tahoe Donner has built a leading defensible space and fire mitigation program, and I will work to ensure it continues to set the regional standard. Our natural surroundings are one of the things that make Tahoe Donner so special, and protecting them is important not only for safety, but for the long-term health and value of the community.
I also support broader transportation and mobility improvements — connecting our trails, facilities, and neighborhoods in ways that encourage active use of the community.
Leveraging Technology
Technology is an area where I believe I can bring innovative change. Operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility go hand in hand, and technology can help support both. Better digital tools can improve member communication and participation, and wise use of data can improve budgeting and operations. Effective use of technology means more value from every assessment dollar and a better experience for all members.
Why I’m ready to Serve
I’m running for the board because I want to serve my neighbors and help strengthen our community. My deep roots in Tahoe Donner, my perspective as a long-time homeowner, and my professional background in technology leadership have prepared me to contribute to the board’s work in a thoughtful, practical, and responsible way.
Tahoe Donner is a special place. My family and I have built our lives here, and I want to help ensure it remains as special in the years ahead as it has been for us over the past decades. If you share that vision, I would be honored to have your vote and to serve as your neighbor on the Board of Directors.
